MC Team Weekend in Peradeniya

The second weekend in July was our first team weekend with us heaing out of Colombo to Peradeniya up in the hills. It's a nice gettaway with milder temperatures compared to scorching Colombo. With it only being coupld of weeks since our team was completed when Sasha flew in, this was the ideal chance for us to get to know each other much better.

We had Tharanga's car to make the journey in so things were way much more fun since we weren't stuck in some stupid bus :)

Besides getting to know and planning our work we spent quite a bit of time taking pictures , shopping and having lunch in Kandy. With the place we were staying being very remote ( Upper Hantana Bunglow) and up in the hills we decided it's best to prepare the last 3 meals on our own than to spend too much time in coming down to the city for food.

We paired up and each pair was responsibile for one meal ...Dinner/Breakfast/Lunch. I was paired with Sahan and we got the responibility for Lunch. With both of us ready to go out of the norm we came up with a very delightful lunch of fruits and crakers that everybody besides Tharanga enjoyed soo much. (Check out the pic below)

I really had a good time in Peradeniya and

On the way back you should have been around when the amazing singer in Sahan just steped out with some very nice songs being sung together...we came back in time to drop Punyma and Damitha at their homes and then for Sasha, Sahan, Tharanga and I to catch the World Cup finals on a big screen at the Cinnamon Grand along with Cherie and Leonie.

Meeting up with the CEO of HSBC

Life is nothing but excitement !!!

Earlier in the month we had the information seminar/ awards presentation for the Employable YOU project that AIESEC run's with HSBC at the Colombo University. We also made this an oppertunity to show our appreciation to HSBC and the University Staff who were working with us on this project for the last 3 years. ( A true multi stakeholder collaboration )

Here I am presenting a token of appreciation to the CEO of HSBC in Sri Lanka Mr. David Griffith...it's fun to meet up with a fellow CEO ;) ( though we are at two ends of the scale in more ways than one )
